Airbnb market in Batumi had been emerging before the pandemic. The total number of booked nights on Airbnb in 2019 reached the highest number of 341,272. In 2020 the market shrank significantly due to the COVID pandemic. However, since 2021, an increasing trend emerged in the booked nights – amounting to 186,861.
The occupancy rate in 2021 outpaced the one from 2019 and reached 33%.
